We always have this idea of what our life will look like. We make plans on saving money, buying a house, having kids etc.. But then God throws a curve ball, whether it be kids before a house, loss of a job or just financial issues in general.
We always think we know what's best for our lives, and we get frustrated when things don't work out as they "should."...
See, I always thought I would go to school, meet someone, get married, save money, buy a house, and then have kids.
Well, I went to college for year, met someone, had a kid, got married, moved alot, had another kid, went back to school, and no house. *please note, this is not a complaint*
I love how my life has gone so far. I can't imagine it being any other way, even though I was frustrated as hell going through life to this point, that nothing was going "my" way, I wouldn't change a thing.
Howie has been wanting to go back to school for a while now, and I think it's actually going to happen fall of 2012. *hopefully* .. The thing is though, that the "better" program for what he wants to take is in saskatchewan, and I definitely do not feel like living in calgary for another 3-4 years until he's done school. Therefore, this probably determines yet another move in our lives.
There's still a lot of deciding factors, such as if he gets accepted, if I can find a job, daycare etc.. If we are required to sign another year lease on our townhouse...
I've always been a planner. This may come as a shock to most people who know me, because I am one of the most un-organized people out there I think... A lot has to do with the fact that I have a good memory, it's just really short. (there's the lame joke you all were waiting for.. appreciate it. soak it in. LOVE it.)
So I think I have come to the realization that maybe it's time to embrace the unknown. Even though it's SUPER annoying, maybe this is what I need to work on.. We've all heard the cliche saying: "Let go, and let God"... but I think for the first time in a really long time, I've come to grips with the fact that maybe it's not so cliche.
I will be keeping you all posted on if we're going to be doing move # 10 in the near future. If we do, I hope its one of the last.. *sigh*
It's howie's 29th birthday today. So I guess I should stop blogging and go bake a cake... and clean my house.. Oh the joys.
xo
ps. do you like my new font?? I think it's going to stick for the next few posts..

and the stress continues
well, ladies and gentlemen, i hate to inform you but the stress has continued even after school.. Dish out some more lame sauce.
I debated for quite a while about whether or not i was going to blog about this, but i figured hey, why not.. I will start by saying that I'm not looking for anyone to take on this as a burden, or even feel like they need to help me find a solution. I guess in my own selfish way, I'm just letting out steam.
So howie got laid off last week. *sigh*. He's getting severence pay for 2 weeks, and his vacation pay etc, so that really only gives us another 2 weeks before he needs a job.. Now, ideally this would have been a perfect opportunity, because I had a wonderful job lined up at a medical spa, and was supposed to start july 18th.
I haven't heard back from the lady. I have called, called and left messages, and she hasn't called me back. SUPER annoying. so now we're both unemployed, with no signs of jobs.. Howie did some searching and made calls before we left for SK, but everyone "doesn't need anyone right now, but we have your information".. I guess thats better than nothing, but still frustrating.
The day after howie lost his job, our landlord informed us our rent is going up 100 bux in august. so that is AWESOME.. Now, to some of the readers out there, 100 dollars isn't that much. But to us, thats a weeks worth of groceries, or 2 tanks of gas... (1 and 1/4 if we were to be in SK full time sheesh)
We've been praying about this, hoping for better opportunities, maybe even a chance to move back to Sk.. Who knows tho.. I know I sure don't.. I know God does, but really, what use is that if he doesn't let ME know haha. I know I just need to be patient in his timing, but the clock is ticking, and i'm running out of patience. *sigh*
we'll make it. we have to
