We always have this idea of what our life will look like. We make plans on saving money, buying a house, having kids etc.. But then God throws a curve ball, whether it be kids before a house, loss of a job or just financial issues in general.
We always think we know what's best for our lives, and we get frustrated when things don't work out as they "should."...
See, I always thought I would go to school, meet someone, get married, save money, buy a house, and then have kids.
Well, I went to college for year, met someone, had a kid, got married, moved alot, had another kid, went back to school, and no house. *please note, this is not a complaint*
I love how my life has gone so far. I can't imagine it being any other way, even though I was frustrated as hell going through life to this point, that nothing was going "my" way, I wouldn't change a thing.
Howie has been wanting to go back to school for a while now, and I think it's actually going to happen fall of 2012. *hopefully* .. The thing is though, that the "better" program for what he wants to take is in saskatchewan, and I definitely do not feel like living in calgary for another 3-4 years until he's done school. Therefore, this probably determines yet another move in our lives.
There's still a lot of deciding factors, such as if he gets accepted, if I can find a job, daycare etc.. If we are required to sign another year lease on our townhouse...
I've always been a planner. This may come as a shock to most people who know me, because I am one of the most un-organized people out there I think... A lot has to do with the fact that I have a good memory, it's just really short. (there's the lame joke you all were waiting for.. appreciate it. soak it in. LOVE it.)
So I think I have come to the realization that maybe it's time to embrace the unknown. Even though it's SUPER annoying, maybe this is what I need to work on.. We've all heard the cliche saying: "Let go, and let God"... but I think for the first time in a really long time, I've come to grips with the fact that maybe it's not so cliche.
I will be keeping you all posted on if we're going to be doing move # 10 in the near future. If we do, I hope its one of the last.. *sigh*
It's howie's 29th birthday today. So I guess I should stop blogging and go bake a cake... and clean my house.. Oh the joys.
xo
